SoyCon Idol
SoyCon Idol is a singing and performance contest where participants have a chance to sing a song of their choice in front of a live audience. Participants will be judged by performance presentation and lyrical interpretation.

All registration forms are due July 1st, 2010.
Rules
Anyone is eligible to participate, judges will not be allowed to take part of the event.
This event is open to all ages.
Cosplay is allowed, although it will not be judged.
Each participant must attend the picnic in order to participate.
All performances and content must be kept at a PG-13 level or less.
Pre-Registration is highly preferred. There may not be any spots open for at-con registration.
There may be a high demand of participants submitting, but only 8 spots will be open for those to compete.
There may be a waiting list of max 3 participants that will be reserved in case others drop out before the event.
Only one person can be named SoyCon Idol.

Only 8 slots will be filled for this year's SoyCon Karaoke Idol.
SoyCon entrants will be under first come, first serve basis.
If selected, participants will get an acceptance e-mail. Please respond back to confirm your acceptance. Also, send an .mp3 file of the song that you will be singing. Karaoke tracks only please.
Pre-Registration deadline is July 4th
There is no “at-con” registration. If slots are to be filled, please contact Soy Sauce during the course of SoyCon.
Final entrees will be announced on July 5th.
Music Guidelines
Participants can select any song in whatever language they feel comfortable singing.
Each contestant must find a karaoke track of their song of choice. No main vocals allowed in tracks.
Songs should not exceed to more than 4 minutes.
The content of songs must not exceed to sexual or adult interpretations.
Contestants are allowed to only sing one song. No do overs.
Participating contestant last year are allowed to comeback to try again, that also includes last year's SoyCon Idol winner.
Returning contestants must choose a different song from the ones chosen the previous year.
Translated lyrics are acceptable.
There should only be one vocal per performance. No backup singers or dancers.
Please submit high quality mp3 tracks. Any low quality tracks will not be accepted.
American, Japanese, Korean, etc. music are acceptable.
