What is SoyCon?
SoyCon is a two-day social event that celebrates the fandom of Anime, Video Games, Manga, Cosplay, & areas all around.

When is SoyCon?
SoyCon is on Saturday June 20th & Sunday June 21st.

Where is SoyCon?
Saturday's photoshoot is in downtown Chicago, meeting location is on 9th St. and Wabash. Sunday's picnic is located at Busse Woods in Schaumburg, IL.

How much does SoyCon cost?
Absolutely nothing. It's free with no hidden fees.

What time does SoyCon start and/or end?
Saturday's photoshoot begins at 9:00am at the meeting location and it will end at 6:00pm at the alter. Sunday's picnic begins at 10:00am and it will end at 8:00pm.

What is the purpose of the photoshoot?
Saturday's photoshoot event is more directly towards the cosplayers who attend SoyCon. The photoshoot will be located in the parks of downtown Chicago. It involves photoshoot locations such as Buckingham Fountain and Millenium Park. Please check the photoshoot section for more details.

What is the purpose of the picnic?
Sunday's picnic event is the most social aspect of the entire gathering. All attendees gather, socialize, and have great food at the picnic to eat. There will be few events that will be happening, such as a costume contest and an improv skit. Awards will be given in those events. The picnic will be located at Busse Woods in Schaumburg, IL. It would be extremly nice for everyone to contribute food or item towards the picnic since it's potluck. Please check the picnic section for more details.

Can I register for SoyCon? Why should I register?
Yes, it's recommended for all attendees to have a badge at SoyCon. These are for identification purposes, statistics, and eligibility to participate in events. You can find all registration information under the Registration section.
