THE PHOTOSHOOT

The Locations

9th St. and Wabash

This location is our starting and meeting place for the photoshoot. Attendees will meet here to check-in and make sure everything is a go before starting the photoshoot walk-around. The check-in process is making sure everyone gets to the meeting location safely. We'll do our best to make sure everyone can find the location whenever you're coming by car, train or by foot. Weapon/Prop check-in is mandatory so please come early so we can make sure your prop is not illegal to walk around the city. If you're ready before we are all done checking in, you may talk or mingle with the other attendees. It's a lot better to know your attendees sooner than later. Once everyone is set to go, we'll leave to our first photoshoot hotspot.

The Statue

This is our first stop in the photoshoot. The statue is located on 9th St. and Michigan Ave. (A block away from the meeting location.) The statue location is on a large hill with a giant grassy field on the side for everyone to run around on. The statue itself is very large containing a man riding on his horse. Nearby the statue is a stone walkway. Good spot for taking pictures with the city as your background.

The Mini Fountain

The 2nd stop of the photoshoot is the mini fountains that's a few walks away from the statue. The mini fountain location is an area well there is a mini fountain to take some nice fountain pictures. Around the fountains are patches of flowers. A good location for taking pictures.

Buckingham Fountain

Buckingham fountain is our 3rd stop of the SoyCon photoshoot trip. Chicago's historical fountain and landmark gives us a great view of the marble made fountain up close. The giant fountain (as mostly shown on the intro of Married With Children) is a good way to get a good breeze.

Grant Park

A giant field, that's all it is. If you want to get those wide angle shots, this park has it. There's also a patch of trees nearby if you want to get those forest/park type shots.

Millenium Park

The biggest landmark in the parks of Chicago. MP is a giant park with many architectures and nicely made areas to hit the city recently. A great location to take pictures because there are about 5 different location that would be great for many characters.

The Alter

The last and final photoshoot location of SoyCon. Alots of trees, beautiful landscape with stairs leading up to an alter. We will have the cosplay wedding here.
