- Summary
- The group photoshoot is our traditional opening event to welcome all SoyCon cosplayers and attendees. It's a perfect opportunity get pictures as a huge group as well as divided group pictures for series related to their genre. If you've been to a convention's photoshoot gathering, the style is very similar.

- Event Information
- Cosplayers will be called into groups based on their character and category they belong in.
- Cosplayers will earn photo opportunies during group shots as well as opportunies after the group shoot.
- At the beginning we will have a group shoot, then go by sub categories such as gender, anime, video game, original character/design/ etc.
- If we have time, we can pose for random shots at the end of the event.
- During the group shoot, please be curtious to your fellow neighbors. There will be many cosplayers during the shoot so try not to disturb them while your photos are getting taken.
- If called into the shoot, please set yourselves as quickly as possible. For those who are not in the shoot, either wait on the side wings or by the photographer section.
- After the group shoot, you are welcome to split up to do your own photoshoots.
- No registration is required for this event. It's open to all cosplayers.
- Photographers are welcome to shoot as they please. After the shoot, you're welcome to ask any cosplayer for photos.
- Lastly, just have fun out there!

- Cosplay Showcase is a costume presentation event where cosplayers who want to present their costume infront of an audience. Participants will be eligible to win awards for not only craftsmanshp, but also their demonstration and presentation skills.

- Summary
- The Battlefield is an turn-based role playing event where participants battle with all of their skills for victory, defeat, and a whole lot more. Participate in fierce battles in 3-person cells where you can attack, defend, summon, equip, or whatever random manuever you come up with in the heat of the battle.

- Summary
- What happens when you put water balloons in the hands of a bunch of people? Pure chaos. Prepare for an epic water balloon fight that is only exclusive to SoyCon 5. See multi colored balloons filled with water being thrown everywhere. Don't worry for those who don't want to get wet, we'll be setting up a designated space so you don't get hit with one of these water balloons. For the rest of you who are in, make sure you have some extra clothes on you because this is gonna be wet 'n wild!

- Event Information
- Participants will be able to toss as many balloons as they please during this event.
- The location of this event will be placed far away from the picnic grove. This is to prevent anyone who does not want to get wet in any shape or form.
- The only persons participating should only be the ones getting hit.
- We will have safe zones for those who want to stop playing. No one should throw any water balloons if participant is in the safe zone.
- Super soakers or squirt guns will be okay to use during the event, but needs to be checked before the event begins.
- Any other form of balloon tossing must be approved beforehand.
- Any participants who is interested joining or helping out this event, we require you to bring a large bucket full of water balloons. The more balloons we have, the longer the event will be.
- The stage will be setup with several flags on the field. Players or balloons must not cross these flags. Please be extremely careful when tossing balloons.
- If you're filling up water balloons, they must only be palm sized. Anything larger will be not thrown at.
- Water in balloons only, anything else is not excepted.
- We do not have any water source to refill. Do not use water from the picnic grove. What we have is only what we got.
- We highly advise to bring backup clothing and towels if you want to dry yourself quicker.
- Please becareful on the field. The ground may get wet. We don't want anyone to slip or get any injuries.
- After the event is done, please help us clean up. There will be lots of balloon remaints to pickup afterwards.
- If we see anyone throwing balloons at a non participant, we have the right to remove you from SoyCon for the entire day.
- Audiences, photographers and videographers are welcome to watch or shoot during the event. We highly advise you to be careful if closeby.

- Summary
- Karaoke Idol returns from SoyCon 2 where you are not required to have the perfect voice. In this event, performers get to select a song of their choice and sing their heart out no matter if it's good, bad, or just plain "what?". We're looking for people who can get the crowd going or do a little jig during the song. So the question is, How well can you Karaoke?

- Once your entry number is called, you must be ready to perform.
- The host will greet you and confirm what song you''ll be singing.
- After the song ends, your turn is over.
- Winners will be chosen after all entries performed.
- Judging
- Winners are chosen by our event judges.
- Judging will contain creativeness and overall presentation.
- Only 1 entry will wiln the overall competition.

- Summary
- How well is your creative skills as well as your performance skills? The Improv Masquerade event puts those two skills to the test as you attempt to create a skit. After preparation, the participants will perform their skit infront of an audience. The twist is, they don't know what subject their basing it on and they have only 10 minutes to prepare!

- If you love music and dancing, Interpretive Dance Central is an event you don't want to miss. Participants get to dance a hot tune in the middle of a dance circle. The problem is, you don't know what song you'll be dancing to until mere seconds before you perform!

- The event is a dance contest where attendees perform hit tunes from today's and yesturday's music.
- Each entry will perform one song (edited down to around 1:30-2:00 minutes).
- The twist of the contest is that your song will not be known until mere seconds before you perform.
- Entry Limit
- Each entry can range from 1-6 persons.
- No double entries.
- Music Content
- Music ranges from a variety type of music. Most of them of which may seem "dance-able".
- Content will be restricted to PG-13 and under.
- Performance Process
- Once your entry number is called, you must be ready to perform.
- Entry will pick a random song and hand it over to the host. (You may not change songs after this moment)
- The host will confirm what song you'll be dancing to.
- Once the song begins, you must perform.
- After the song ends, your turn is over.
- Winners will be chosen after all entries performed.
- Judging
- Winners are chosen through audience favorite.
- Only 1 entry will wiln the overall competition.
